Micoll’s first residential seminar (Bressanone/Brixen, 26-29 June 2023) was an opportunity not only to talk about two classics of the history of commercial law (Goldschmidt) and the history of the Italian language (Migliorini), but also to discover the Alpine region around Brixen and to experience first-hand the difficulty, but also the beauty, of some of the roads travelled by merchants for centuries, such as the one that still connects Brixen and Klausen (15,7 km). During the three-day seminar, the teams (both of Micoll and Iustitiam), together with our guests Antonio Cappuccio (Messina), Maria Vittoria Dell’Anna (Salento) and three PhD students from the University of Messina, enjoyed Andrea Bonoldi’s (Trento) lecture on Bolzano’s trade fairs, visited the Mercantile Museum in Bolzano (former seat of the Mercantile Magistrate) with the director Elisabetta Carnielli and discovered Bolzano with the guide Paola Bassetti. Here are some photos of this immersive and unforgettable experience!
