Short Bio

I’m Associate Professor at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova, Italy. My main research interests are Technology Assisted Review systems, Interactive Information Retrieval, Computational Terminology and Open Data Science.
I’m currently the principal investigator and coordinator of the Centre of Studies of Computational Terminology (CENTRICO) at the University of Padova, and I’ve been nominated, since 2020, as Open Data advisor and member of the Open Science Committee of the University of Padova. Since 2020, I’ve been the delegate of the rector of the University of Padova as a member of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Association. Since 2006, I’ve been a member of the Technical Committee of the Library Centre and Representative of the University Digital Library.
I’m co-editor in chief of the journal Umanistica Digitale, I was appointed as the Secretary of the Associazione per l’Informatica Umanistica e la Cultura Digitale (AIUCD) from 2018 until 2020.
I was the head of the scientific unit of the FIRB project – future in research, FIRB 2008 Cod. RBFR08KR5A 003, “A grammatical investigation on Italian dialects: field research, data management, linguistic analysis”, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. I’ve been the co-general chair of the first two editions, 2022 and 2023, of the international conference on Multilingual Digital Terminology Today (MDTT). I was also the co-organizer and participant in multiple editions of the Conference and Labs of Evaluation Forum – former Cross-Language Evaluation Forum – (CLEF), the European forum for the evaluation of multilingual and multimodal search engines.
